I was immediately seized by the idea of eating at 200 Cut Rate Lunches. It could feature cheap and delicious foods from around the world. Tortas and samosas, pho and calzones. All manner of eggs with beans or potatoes or slices of fried tomato and fatty bacon. Sadly the next time we drove by the sign we realized that it was actually advertising 200 Cut Rate Liquors. Fixins are more than condiments, but less than side dishes. They are things you put on your food so as to customize your eating experience. They are found in all of the most advanced food cultures around the world.
